A Haiku whose Title Escapes Me at the Moment

Nobody is always right.
Nobody is always wrong.
Connect the dots.

I had this sudden inspiration upon taking stock of all the major religions all claiming monopoly of the truth.

Cryptic Understanding

The love that has to be immortal, the desire that has to be rekindled, to polish the ivory of Venus, resplendent in the public square of the soul, needs to be shattered.

Stare at the Mona Lisa for hours, your eyes will cross.

Eat spicy food all afternoon and you tongue swells.

The heart grows tired, the spirit weary of sacrifice.

Like the Phoenix of old, the adorer damns oneself into the fire.

Salvation of lost youth shall be rejuvenated, albeit in secret.

No usurpation, just a yearning for realization of spent fires conflagrating once more.

That which will warm Venus in her old age.

Guidance about the love confusing, may the stars give lightyear advice.

May it surpass the theory of relativity that omens the failure of the present.

Who understands really? Who understands?

Late Treaty

The ribosomes together with the nuclei
Allied with the organs tissues and muscles
Sent their grievances to my central nervous system
They resent their deprivation of oxygen
Overdose of alcohol
Depletion of energy
I have neglected them and ignored
As I indulged in my desires
Held my breath to hold still the moment.

So they staged a strike and paralyzed organic operations
As a result my machines malfunctioned.

I wrote a formal letter to my lady boss
I inadvertently included the line: you look really hot today
I sent a text message to the parish priest
It read: How’s playtime with the kids?
Committed a major blunder
My wife caught me buying lingerie for the secretary.

So me and my medichloreans formed a truce
I’ll stop being superman and harassing my brain cells
They’ll assure me peak performance and delivery of goods
But the entente did not stop the consequence
My boss fired me
The priest excommunicated me
My wife divorced me
So now it’s just me and my happy cells
Until the time
It will only
Be just
Me.
