Poem Inspired By A Post
Hope for Reunion
There is a bittersweet feeling when we revisit the places where we thought the world was ours
The leaves, the air, the colors, sang to us, exulting in our innocence
Is it when we lost innocence, we also lost them?
That when we return, they fall silent, intimidated by our changes?
And smile no more?
Then let us replay their memory
So they will be reborn
And remember
Us
Let that tear of melancholic joy of recall fall
So as We stand together on that green field
They will recognize us running
And hug us so tight
Begging us not to leave ever again
Though we must sail, we must tread, we must fly once more.

lXKlSd great site man thanks http://peace.com
A thoughtful mini-treatise with the following killer line..
“Let that tear of melancholic joy of recall fall”
It just rolls off the tongue; I love the lyrical sound of it!
Hope you are well and happy..
Really? than I am happy. For you and for us. You too, may you be happy, healthy, and well as well. Mwah.
Beautifully done.

Mwah!
Hello Tom!
I am so humbled that my simple post could inspire the poet in you.
That’s one thing I love about visiting blogs — I learn many things, and I get inspirations. Three of my latest poems were inspired by blog posts. Amazing, isn’t it?
Your poem’s very powerful. It makes me want to go home again.
