Envy or Dreamy
When the heart muscles contort
At the sight of your consort
It is not so much a picture distort
But cranial coffers being sorted
Slapped at being empty handed
Wanting displayed fancy packaged branded
Would it result in the child within backhanded
Or medicate with mental state Band-Aide?
Forgetting that each one’s unique
Forget other’s-item-suction technique
Forgetting that on your own you can peak
Forget property love and urge ambition meek.
Glut or Putt
Every gourmand has a
Golf club
That swings across the
Table, fastfood joints, and pizza parlors
To score an above par-amedication of
Self-esteem with a hole in one banquet
Savoring the green green lettuce grass
And relishing the saucy bogey
As a triumphant Tiger Mood for double patties
Should the master taster
Get struck with the grand slam of lean mean machines
The pocked ball sinks in the mud
At least the porky one will smile and wallow
Very much in its element.
Pride or Self-Bride
Unrivaled no equals
Backpedaled to return with a vengeance
Could not accept defeat at the finals
Could not summon humble pie with a seance
Finding a perfect match in the annals
Found nothing but rocket launch defiance
So there is nobody at the nuptials
Except the mirror image with which to dance
If one plummets after headbutting the celestials
It is only because it is the one and only second chance.
This is the last of the series on my Seven Capital Sins or Virtues, lol, and I enjoyed writing with a theme in mind. Guess we all have excuses for sinning, we are human after all…see you all take care
